Global Warming
People are blind. They don’t see the world as its current state; they don’t see it at all. Many people say the global warming isn’t happening or they just choose to ignore it. The reality is its coming and we need to try to stop it. Global warming is the wide spread of increasing temperature around the planet. We aren’t locking in the heat but we sure aren’t slowing it down. We are producing these mass amounts of pollution and smog, destroying our eco-system, animals eco-systems, and pretty soon our whole planet. How long will it take you to react? Maybe after the air is unbreathable? The water to be undrinkable? Possibly you’ll continue to sit there eating your dinner or watching television but consider this, this mess we’ve made of our planet, the barges, the radioactive zones and everything else we’ve messed up, goes to our young and theirs. Now I have my doubts about you actually thinking about this at all but maybe you would open your eyes if first use your ears.
In Glasgow, Montana in1997 for the first time ever, temperatures remained above 0*F. The average temperature there is about 10 degrees below that. In Arkansas little rock had the hottest may on record. In 1998 Texas had a deadly heat wave, so hot Dallas was over 100*F for 15 days. One hundred people died. Going down to the Arctic there is less and less ice, polar bears drown trying to find some ice to stand on; they can swim sixty miles or more. Factories making our products, our cars, even generating power, they add to the already warped eco-system we have created.
Supposedly we developed here, grew, evolved and became smarter. If that were right then why can’t we see what we are doing?! We made great advances in technology and had and understanding of the ecosystem. Truth be told if we we’re to try with minimal effort we could fix this problem. Yet these people, all of them, refuse to do any small things. Electric cars are too small. Recycling costs too much. Who knew saving a planet would cost so much money. But it doesn’t need to! Small things to save the planet save you money too. Shut off a light when you leave a room. Turn off the heat when nobody is in the house. Those things can stop gas pollution and slowly save what planet we have left.
